When her Daddy was diagnosed with ALS in July 2000, hospice was never mentioned to the family.
She is very passionate about educating others about the hospice benefit. Tammy works for Comfort Care Hospice and Home Health as Community Liaison. Hannah manages her online boutique Halohannah and enjoys working with Brides planning their special day. They enjoyed watching Jeremiah and Caleb play college basketball and now support them as they teach and coach high school basketball. They have three children, Hannah, Jeremiah and Caleb. Tammy returned to Alabama in 1991 and married Glen Haynes. Tammy did a USO tour and traveled to Central America where she entertained the troops in Honduras and Panama. Bush who stated, “Tammy has perfect pitch” after she sang the National Anthem at a political rally. Tammy has entertained for President Reagan at several events and also for President George W. She lived in New York where she entertained at the Resorts in the Poconos, Catskills and The Hamptons.
Tammy traveled the world as a headliner on cruise ships and entertaining at Corporate events. She opened for Diamond Rio, Vern Gosdin and toured with Ty Herndon. Tammy lived in Nashville and performed at Opryland USA. She was awarded the non-finalist talent award at Miss America and chosen to be a Miss America Showstopper. Tammy then started competing in the Miss Alabama Pageant and after five years of personal growth and perseverance, Tammy won the title of Miss Alabama 1984. She was 1979 Jackson County’s Junior Miss and a finalist at the Alabama Junior Miss Program. Tammy started singing in church at the young age of two and still enjoys singing and speaking at churches and special events. I also educate others about the hospice benefit that will help enhance the quality of life for those with a terminal disease. I’ll take that each and every day of my life.īeing Ms Senior Alabama gives me an opportunity to bring awareness to ALS and raise funds in hope of finding a cure and help families cope with the challenges daily life. I have a network of Christian sisters supporting me with prayer and encouraging words.
